Visual Capitalist, an online publisher that creates data visualizations, has created a visualization depicting household income distribution in the United States. The visualization features a grid of 100 homes and displays the percentage of American households that fall within a certain household income bracket. Different income brackets appear as different colors, with dark purple representing household incomes up to $25,000 and light yellow representing incomes above $200,000. According to the visualization, 38 percent of American households have an annual income of less than $50,000.
