Reuters has created a series of data visualizations showing that British nursing homes have had 26,000 excess deaths—fatalities that exceed the typical number of deaths for a given period—since mid-March. Visualizations show that roughly one in three nursing homes have suffered a COVID-19 outbreak and that more people died in nursing homes than in hospitals during the week ending May 1.
